The Hillcrest Academy Raven boys basketball team made it seven straight wins to start the season with a Saturday 59-54 victory in Kalona over Fairfield. Hillcrest led 17-11 after one and found themselves up 27-26 at half. The Ravens outscored the Trojans 17-13 in the third and then played even at 15 in the fourth to make the slim advantage stand up. Hillcrest won field goal percentage 44-39%, they were beaten on the glass 35-32, in assists 12-9, turnovers 15-11 and steals 9-7. A double double duo led the Ravens individually with Gibson Scott posting 16 points and 11 rebounds, Kale Bailey scored 15 and added 10 rebounds. Rowan Miller had a team high 19 points, five steals and four assists.

Hillcrest is unbeaten at 7-0 while Fairfield falls to 1-5.
