Christmas is upon us, and Washington residents should keep in mind when offices will be closed for the holidays.

The Washington County Courthouse and other county offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 24th and Wednesday, December 25th. Washington City Hall, Washington Public Library will also be closed the 24th and 25th. Washington County Mini Bus will not operate Wednesday or Thursday. Post offices may have varying hours Wednesday, though all post offices will be closed Thursday with regular mail not delivered. 

The garbage pick-up for the usual Thursday route in the City of Washington will be delayed by one day. The Thursday pick up will be held on Friday, December 26th. As a reminder to residents, recycled items should be loose in the recycling container. You should not put recycled items in plastic bags in the container. Plastic bags and plastic wrap are not recyclable. This may cause your recycling not to be picked up
