The Washington School Board approved the district goals for the year.

Superintendent Willie Stone outlined the goals at their recent meeting. The goals include academic success, student safety, and staff and workforce retention. The way that the board is hoping to achieve these goals this year is to continue with the strategic plan for academic success. They are talking with the City to potentially bring in a resource officer for student safety, and they will be sending out a survey to staff to facilitate retention.

The board sets goals each year for the district.
