The Washington Demon boys wrestling team put together a fantastic finish to the week, going 4-1 at the Cascade Dual Tournament Friday. The Demons scored four wins in five chances including 60-18 over MFL MarMac, 54-28 over Dubuque Wahlert, 54-29 over Starmont, and 42-29 over the home Cougars. Their lone defeat was 43-28 at the hands of North Linn.
Top Demon performers on the day included Caden Greiner at 5-0 with five falls. Joseph Schreiber was also unbeaten with a pair of pins. Rudy Wolfe and Mark Chenoweth were both 4-1 on the day with three pins each. Junior Valdez and Blaine Rees had three wins each, Valdez all coming by pin, Rees with two falls. Brayden Vermillion was 2-1 with a pair of pins. Jace Kinzenbaw won his lone contested match by pin and Nerick Reymundo was a 17-9 major decision winner.
Washington is now 6-2 on the dual season.
