The Washington Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the 34th Annual Candlelight Tour of Homes scheduled for this Friday and Saturday. The homes on display are decorated for the holiday season. In addition to seeing the homes, visitors can learn more about the history of the area and the people who live there.
Washington Chamber of Commerce Executive Director shared more on what can be expected at this year’s event, “We try to have a variety (of stops) because it’s not a new home builders tour. We like to feature homes that are older, and that are also new and that have special stories with decorations, and different stuff like that. So that way hopefully people who join us are able to find something that really speaks to their heart and their Christmas spirit and yeah, just kick off our Holidays.”
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. The event runs from 4-8 p.m. on both December 5th and 6th. You can find a link to purchase tickets with this news story at KCIIradio.com. The Candlelight Tour of Homes is the primary fundraiser for the Washington holiday lighting season; more information including tour stops and participating businesses can be found on the Chamber of Commerce website.
