A wreck on Highway 218 that totaled two vehicles and resulted in one individual leaving with citations. 

At 11:30 a.m. Friday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a two-vehicle incident on Highway 218 near Ainsworth. 

According to the sheriff’s office, a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Albert Tsimba of North Liberty was traveling southbound on Highway 218 in the 1800 block, with Louden Huisenga of Wayland driving a 2012 Honda Accord following behind. Tsimba decelerated rapidly and failed to signal causing Huisenga to strike Tsimba, forcing both vehicles off the roadway. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed away. No injuries were reported.

Tsimba was issued citations for unsafe stopping, and failure to provide proof of financial liability.
