Now is a good time to dust off your snow boots. According to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities, a winter storm could bring widespread accumulating snow and travel impacts for the Thanksgiving weekend.
Snow is likely to begin Friday evening and continue through Saturday night. There is still some uncertainty on the track, strength, and how much snow will fall. There is a moderate to high likelihood of more than two inches of snow in the KCII-listening area. Continue to monitor the forecast over the coming days, particularly if you have holiday travel plans. If you will be traveling, Iowa 511 will have the most up to date road conditions.
Tune into KCII for all of your weather updates, including cancellations and delays.
