Three local girls wrestling teams took to the mat Saturday for the Wilton Women’s Wrestling Tournament.

Sigourney-Keota had the highest team finish, placing seventh of 16 teams with 102.5 points. Bettendorf won the team title with 155.5 points. The Savages were led by Abyl McCulley runner-up at 140lbs with a 2-1 day that included a pair of pins. Other top SK performers included Naveah Beinhart at 130, Kia Montgomery at 135 and Izzy Heisdorffer at 145 all placing third.

For the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks it was a 10th place finish with 54 points. Best days for the Hawks included runner-up performances for Austyn Sexton at 110lbs and Ellie Callahan at 190 as each went 2-1 in contested matches. Sophie Miller was third at 155.

Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union was 11th with 24 points. Jada Moats led the Wildcats in third at 190lbs with a 2-1 tournament in contested matches.
