Two area girls wrestling teams traveled to the Burlington Grayhound Invitational Saturday. The Lone Tree Lions had the top area team finish placing seventh of 13 schools with their score of 87 points. The Grayhounds won the meet on their home mat with 196.5 points. Olivia Magruder led the Lions with an individual championship at 135lbs. She went 3-0 on the day in contested matches, pinning her way to the top of the podium, including a title bout fall over Bryleigh Sparks of Cardinal in just 1:16. Carlee Sexton finished runner-up at 100lbs and Savanna Jenks was fourth at 190.
The Washington Demons were 12th in the team standings with 30 points. Top Demon finisher was Bella Venenga runner-up at 155 with a 3-1 day that included three pins. Brynlee Flynn placed third for Washington at 100lbs and Ryha Wellington fourth at 155.
