Brubaker
Daniel Brubaker, one of two men charged following a hayrack ride crash that injured multiple middle-school aged children in Keokuk County, has filed an appeal and is currently out of jail on bond.
In July, 36-year old Daniel Brubaker plead guilty to 10 counts of child endangerment resulting in bodily injury and three counts of neglect of a dependent person, felony charges.
The charges stem from an October 14, 2023, incident in which a goose-neck trailer went into a ditch and injured multiple children near What Cheer. Brubaker was allegedly operating the vehicle.
On September 5th, Brubaker appealed his case, and on November 13th he posted bond.
David Heady Jr. who was also involved in the incident has also appealed his case. The 33-year-old was found guilty of 13 felony counts of child endangerment following a trial held this fall.
