New members of the National Honor Society at Washington High School will be inducted Monday evening.

The National Honor Society is built on four pillars: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. NHS chapters operate in all 50 states and many schools around the world, engaging and serving more than 1.4 million students. To be eligible a student must have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher, and students are considered based on character, leadership, and service.

The President of the Washington High School Chapter this year is Leighton Messinger and Vice President is Adalyn Long. The ceremony will be held in the Washington High School auditorium beginning at 7 p.m.
