It will be a great weekend to finish up garden maintenance as the temperature will remain mild.

According to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities, this weekend southeast Iowa will see unseasonably mild weather with widespread temperatures near 70 degrees. A system passing through will increase cloud cover through the start of the weekend and winds will pick up as a cold front passes through. More seasonal weather will move in for the second half of the weekend, with dry weather remaining. 

The City of Washington will be extending their leaf vacuum program past the Thanksgiving holiday due to the mild weather and delayed leaf fall. 

The City of Riverside has also extended their leaf pick-up dates. Two additional dates have been added on November 18th and 25th. Residents wishing to participate in the pickup should rake leaves to the curb and ensure they are free of debris on the pickup days.
