
The No. 7 in Class 3A Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team finished their weekend tournament schedule Saturday with a 3-2 day at the Clear Creek Amana Tournament. The Hawks were winners over Pleasantville 21-15 and 21-11, Anamosa 21-12 and 21-14 and No. 6 in 2A Union 19-21, 21-16 and 16-14. The Golden Hawks were beaten by No. 6 in 4A North Scott 21-18, 17-21 and 15-10 and the No. 1 in 4A home Clippers 21-12 and 21-14. Individual leaders on the day for Mid-Prairie included Jovi Evans with 45 digs, 41 kills, 38 assists, six aces and four blocks. Avery Helmuth had 59 assists and three aces. Jeorgia Evans had 55 digs and 24 kills. Harper Pacha had seven blocks. Tessa Bombei had four blocks and Katelyn Harland added three aces. Following the weekend, the Golden Hawk record stood at 22-8.
