Five local teams have spots in this week’s cross country poll issued by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches.
In Class 3A, the Washington Demon boys have Andrew Rees at No. 19 in the individual poll.
In Class 2A, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls are ranked No. 9 in this week’s team poll, anchored by Brooklyn Stutzman fifth in the individual rankings.
In Class 1A, the WACO boys continue their climb. The Warriors check in at No. 4 in this week’s team rankings with Jude Dykstra No. 6 individually. For the Warrior girls, Josie Dykstra is No. 23 individually. The Columbus Wildcat boys are at No. 10 in the 1A team poll and Sigourney’s Troy Klett is 20th in the individual standings.
