A juvenile on a bicycle was hit by a vehicle near the Washington Middle School and High School in what was described as a “minor accident.” According to an incident report from Washington County Communications, the incident occurred at 3:23 p.m. at the intersection of West Tyler Street and South Avenue B. 

The Washington School District issued a notice explaining that the parents of the student involved were contacted immediately, and the student was taken to Washington County Hospital and Clinics as a “precaution for what appeared to be a minor injury.”

Washington Police Department, Washington EMS, and Washington County Ambulance assisted at the scene. 

The driver was 35-year-old Ashlee Weimer of Washington. Charges are pending.
