
It was a big day for local cross country individuals Thursday at the Davis County Invitational.
The Sigourney Savages scored wins in both the boys and girls races. Troy Klett beat the field by nearly 90 seconds for the Sigourney boys in 17:15, as the team finished second with 48 points behind champion Central Lee’s 27. Other finishers for the Savages included Cole Klett eighth, Levi Meyers 10th, Jordan Anderson 13th, and Isaac Jones 25th. The Sigourney girls saw Addison Yates sprint past the field for the win. Brynn Clarahan was third and Cloee Wilson 14th.
The Keota Eagle boys did not have a team score, but Chase Haifley led in 19th at 21:35, followed by Hunter Grandstaff 22nd, and Luke Moeller 28th.
