The Columbus Wildcat volleyball team faced top flight competition Saturday at the Williamsburg tournament. The Wildcats got one win in four matches, beating Des Moines Lincoln 21-17 and 21-9. The ‘Cats were beaten by Des Moines Christian 18-21, 21-15 and 12-8, West Burlington 21-16 and 21-12 and the home Raiders 21-15 and 23-21. Wildcat leaders by the numbers included Daniella Diaz with 42 assists and four blocks. Jessica Del Rio with 14 kills and four aces. Hailey Wellington and Kennedy Woepking had 13 kills each. Woepking added 24 digs and nine aces. Jocelyn Hernandez had 28 digs and Zai Par four aces. Columbus is now 4-9 after the weekend.
