
The Winfield-Mt. Union boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Keosauqua last week for the Van Buren Warrior Invitational. The WMU boys were seventh in the team race with 162 points. Mediapolis won the championship with 40 points. Top finish for the Wolves was Brayden Cline 25th in 19:05. MEPO’s Simon Wendel won in 15:29. Other WMU runners included Justin Knipfer 33rd, Bowen Thomson 34th, Parker Wilson 62nd, and Adlin Wilkerson 78th.
The Lady Wolves did not post a team score and had Ashlyn Bender finish 50th in 28:28. Chloe Glosser of Pekin was the individual winner in 18:22. Karilyn Titus was 55th.
