The WACO Warrior boys and girls cross country teams made a business trip to Palmyra, Missouri Saturday and brought back hardware. The Warrior boys won the team championship with their score of 43 points, beating South Shelby’s 76. Jude Dykstra was best, finishing runner-up in 17:09. Mason McDaniel of Clark County was the winner in 16:55. Other Warriors included Garrett Landau fourth, Locken Henderson 12th, Gavin Slagel 13th, Tristian Luitjens 19th, Hunter Wilson 25th, Wyatt Wilson 68th, Logan Graber 92nd and Kaden Donaldson 98th.
The Warrior girls did not post a team score but threw a 1-2 punch at the top of the leaderboard. Josie Dykstra won her second straight race in a time of 21:07, followed by individual runner-up Macie Carter in 21:44. Deedra Graber was 43rd.
