The Winfield-Mt. Union Community School District is celebrating its homecoming next week. 

Beginning on Sunday, September 14th, with Boom Night, students will play powder puff volleyball and football at the school. The WMU Dance Team will perform, and the king and queen coronation will be held. This year’s court includes junior royalty Javin Kellogg and Kallie Gaither. Queen candidates include: Kellee Milks, Madisen Kellogg, Ella Kann, Quin Smith, and Katie Miller. King candidates are Nick Sparrow, Jaiden Beeding, Bowen Thomson, Grant Anderson, and Max Edwards. Boom Night kicks off at 5 p.m. at the football field.

As the school week starts, students and staff will be participating in spirit days. Friday will be the pep assembly at 2:30 p.m. the varsity football game follows that night at 7 p.m., as the Wolves take on Wayne. Homecoming festivities are capped off Friday by the Junior High/High School dance from 9-11 p.m.
