The Washington County Riverboat Foundation will be meeting Wednesday. 

They will meet at 6 p.m. in the Washington County Extension meeting room, in Dallmeyer Hall. On the agenda under old business, they will discuss the surprise $10,000 grant to Iowa Mission of Mercy for a free dental clinic, and a surprise grant to be awarded to the Washington County Sheriff’s K9 Unit fundraiser. Under new business they will hold discussion on the new board member search, and applications for the fall grant cycle, as well as the fall grant cycle procedure. 

The Foundation is seeking three new board members. They can live anywhere in Washington County with an emphasis on those from rural Washington, Kalona, and Ainsworth this year. The terms last from January 2026 to January 2029. 

This meeting is open to the public and their next meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 15th.
