Havel Subdivision Location
The Washington City Council approved the subdivision agreement with DW Developments for the Havel Subdivision to be built in the north part of Washington.
City Administrator Joe Gaa gave more background on the project and the agreement, “We’ve negotiated the subdivision agreement which is pretty much standard. It talks about the infrastructure improvements that will be required. This is a unique subdivision. Unlike really anything we have done in quite a while. I call it an infill subdivision because it’s there in town already. Some of the streets and utilities are usable, so they will be able to build some lots, potentially some houses, sell some lots on 4th and 6th, and then the 5th Avenue will come as a stage two.”
The Subdivision will be located between 4th and 6th Avenues, and East 11th and East 13th streets on the north side of Washington. A preliminary plat was approved by the Council in April. The final plat was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission at their April meeting. There will be 23 lots available in this residential subdivision for single-family homes.
