
Flood warnings along the Iowa River and North Skunk River continue according to the National Weather Service. Drivers are reminded that if they encounter a flooded roadway to turn around, don’t drown. Do not drive around barricades.
Minor flooding is occurring at Marengo with a flood warning issued through Monday. The river is expected to crest at 16.1 feet on Thursday and then fall below the 15-foot flood stage on Sunday evening. The flooding is impacting agricultural land along the river.
The North Skunk River near Sigourney has a flood warning through Wednesday night. The river was expected to crest at 16.1 feet. At 16-feet water affects agricultural land, some county roads, and some farm houses.
