It’s state tournament time for the boys and girls of summer, but a pair of local teams are starting to prepare for the upcoming school year and fall sports, hosting their volleyball camps next week.

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks will have a camp Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for sixth grade through seniors at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman. Those entering sixth through eighth grade will work from 10-11:30a.m. daily with incoming freshmen through seniors in action from 8-9:45a.m. each day.

Hillcrest Academy will host a camp at Hillcrest Union for student athletes fourth grade through seniors Monday through Friday. Ravens entering fourth through sixth grade will be on the court from 1-3:30p.m. daily while seventh grade through senior student athletes are in action from 9a.m. to noon each day.
