Kirkwood Washington County Regional Center recently held its annual Kirkwood for Kids Summer Camp.
Over 120 elementary students from eight local schools filled the classrooms and hallways as they participated in hands-on learning experiences designed just for them. This year campers got to experience STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) topics over four days.
There are two more camp opportunities at the Kirkwood Washington County Regional Center this summer. Camp Exploration will be held July 22–24 and is programmed for students entering grades 6–9. It will offer career-themed opportunities in automotive technology, welding, crime scene investigation, graphic design, and creative writing.
Camp Connect will be held August 12–14, and is a brand-new bilingual camp for kindergarten through third grade students to learn, play, and make friends while building language skills.
