The Washington Demon baseball team suffered a pair of losses Friday at the Line Drive Classic at Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo. Washington lost their first game to Williamsburg 17-5, falling behind 14-1 through the first four innings and, despite scoring four times in the fifth, seeing the game end after six frames.

Game Two was a back-and-forth slugfest with Janesville, as four runs in the third put the Demons in front 6-3. The Wildcats would score seven times in the fifth to take a 11-7 lead, and while Washington got three runs over the final two frames, they would not be able to come all the way back and lost 12-10.

The defeats drop the Demons to 4-15. Washington next plays Monday in a doubleheader at Fort Madison. You can hear Demon baseball on KCII Monday evening starting with pregame coverage at 5 o’clock on 106.1 FM and streaming on KCIIradio.com and the KCII1 app.
