Winfield-Mount Union/Columbus baseball fell at Central Lee last night 11-3. The Wolves grabbed the initial lead with two runs in the first inning, but five runs each in the fourth and fifth frames put the Hawks ahead for good.

Riley Kaalberg and Lane Genkinger each had two hits, including a double, and one run batted in, while fellow senior Kohlby Newsom scored a pair of runs for WMU/Columbus, which drops to 1-6 with the loss. The Wolves will look to bounce back Thursday when they next play against the Hillcrest Academy Ravens.
