It’s win-or-go-home time for Washington Demon boys’ soccer as they start the postseason tonight by traveling to take on Clarke in the first round in Class 2A Substate 6.

Washington comes into the playoffs with a record of 2-13. Junior Edwin Cortes leads the Demons with eight goals scored, while senior goalkeeper Kaden Read has been a brick wall, making almost 190 saves and stopping just under 80 percent of the shots he’s faced.

Washington will be facing a Clarke Community team that is 5-7-1 and has been led by freshman Henry Rivera’s 11 goals. The Demons kick off against the Indians this evening at 7 o’clock in Osceola.
