The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team got back in the win column Monday with a business trip to Cascade and a 5-2 victory. Mid-Prairie was on the board with the first half’s only goal. The Hawks scored four times after break and the Cougars couldn’t keep up, tallying just twice. The Hawks had 14 total shots, nine on goal and four corner kicks. Individually, Peyton Fox scored twice, his team-leading third and fourth goals of the year, while Matthew Troyer, Will Snider and Ashton Townsend each tallied once. It was Snider’s second this season and the first each for Troyer and Townsend. Troyer, Johnathan Adam, Townsend, Jacob Flynn and Kale Miller each had their first assists. In goal, Mac Yoder recorded the win with 13 saves. Mid-Prairie is now 2-11-1 with the win and Cascade drops to 2-9. The Hawks close out the regular season with Senior Night Friday against Bellevue.
