The KCII News team recently received state recognition from the Iowa Broadcast News Association (IBNA). At the annual IBNA awards ceremony, the team of Jennifer Wilkerson and Sally Hart received an award for best newscast in small market radio.

In addition, Hart received an award in small market radio in the In Depth Series category. The recognition was for the ongoing coverage of the election issues related to the Highland School District bond measure.
