In a key contest in the Southeast Iowa Superconference soccer championship race, the Mediapolis Bulldogs beat the Hillcrest Academy Ravens 4-3 Thursday at Archer Field. There were fireworks throughout the night, as MEPO led 2-1 at the break and both teams found the back of the net twice each after intermission. The Bulldogs won shots on goal 12-9 and the Ravens finished with seven corner kicks. Hillcrest goals came from Jesse Blossom, Micah Gerber and Isaac Beachy, with an assist for Lincoln Miller. Kyle Neuschwander had eight saves. The loss drops Hillcrest to 6-3-2 on the year while Mediapolis climbs to 9-3.
