
Wednesday’s Southeast Iowa Superconference boys golf championships showcased some of the best on the links in southeast Iowa.
Top area team finish belonged to Winfield-Mt. Union in third at 335. Central Lee won the conference title with a 324. The Wolves were led by Konner Kinneberg eighth individually with an 81. Mylan Lowenberg of Central Lee won the individual title with a 77. Other WMU scores included Cody Milks 83, Nicholas Sparrow 85, Sinjin Brown 86, and Justin Knipfer and Grant Anderson at 88 apiece. Wolves’ head coach Mitch Wachs was named Superconference Coach of the Year.
Hillcrest Academy was fourth at 345. The top area individuals were both Ravens with Liam Schrock and Rowan Miller carding matching 79s to finish third. Other Hillcrest scores included Lawson Schrock 93, Ethan Yoder and Matthew Chalupa 94, and Rylan Good 97.
Lone Tree was 10th as a a team with 407. Best for the Lions Wednesday was Brock Nebergal with 99. Other scores included Lukas Fuhrmeister 100, Jack Patterson 102, Carter Scott and Owen Eden each 106, and Will Schweitzer 121.
WACO was 11th with a 420. Best round for the Warriors came from Malachi Rinner at 87. Other scores for WACO were Ian Maize 89, Kellen Shelman 116, and Carsten Wilson 128.
Columbus shot a team score 432 for 14th. Top ‘Cat was Kason Dopler with an 89. Other Columbus cards were Ryan Coil 99, Mason Hardy 109, Kai Allec 135, and Mason Heck 138.
Highland checked in at 15th with a 470. The Huskies were led by Isaac Giesmann with a 114, followed by Landon Roling 116, Tyson Grout 117, Presten Smith 123, and Ryker Miller 129.
