The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team is back on the course today for their first 18-hole event of the year when they travel to Williamsburg for the Raider Invitational. The Hawks are 2-1 this season in dual action, with wins over Iowa City Regina and West Branch. Monday, they dropped a 177-183 decision in Kalona to Tipton. On the year, Mid-Prairie has a 190 average per nine, led by Addison English at 45. The Hawks were fourth of nine teams at this event a year ago with a 370 team score.

The Golden Hawks will be joined at today’s event by Anamosa, Benton, Calamus-Wheatland, Clear Creek Amana, Marion, Solon, Vinton-Shellsburg, Wilton and the home Raiders. Action starts at 11a.m. And continues into the afternoon and evening at Stone Creek Golf Club in Williamsburg.
