The Winfield-Mount Union Wolves put together another strong season in boys’ basketball, and four players who led the way for WMU have received all-conference honors in the North division of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.

Among that quartet is point guard Jake Edwards, who is not only a unanimous first-team all-conference choice, but is also named the Super Conference North Player of the Year.

The senior averaged almost 18-and-a-half points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and five steals per game, leading the league in steals and finishing third in scoring and assists.

Senior Cooper Buffington makes the second team after leading Winfield-Mount Union with nearly 8.5 rebounds per contest and also scoring almost 9.5 points a game. Honorable mentions go to junior Max Edwards and senior Lane Genkinger, who helped guide the Wolves to 11 conference wins and an overall record of 14-10.
