Mid-Prairie’s Ashlee Farrier spent her career with the Hawks as a standout on the mat. She ends her time with the program as the winningest girls wrestler in Golden Hawk history.

Farrier’s first win came as a freshman December 23rd of 2021 with a pin of Highland’s Jaydee Macareno. She would wrap up her first season with an 11-9 overall record. She turned that into a sophomore season with a 32-12 record. As a junior, Farrier put together another tremendous season, going 29-7.

Farrier’s senior season was one for the record books. On November 25th, 2024 she scored her 81st win as a Golden Hawk, with a 16-1 tech fall over Ruby Stagg of Pleasant Valley at the West Liberty girls Invitational. The victory gave her the all-time program record, surpassing Ellie Brenneman’s 80 wins from the Class of 2024. Farrier spoke with KCII Sports this season about being a record-setting wrestler, “It’s really cool. My name will be on the board officially, but I’m also excited to see other people get it as the years go. It will be fun to see how many more wins they can get than I have as they get more matches!”

She wasn’t done rewriting the record books at Mid-Prairie. She would go on to score her 100th victory, the first ever Golden Hawk girl to do it, at West Branch with a pin of the home Bears Karley Shelton. Farrier followed that up with her third career trip to the state tournament at Xtream Arena in Coralville and became the first Golden Hawk to medal since girl’s wrestling became an Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union sanctioned sport, taking fifth place at 130lbs.

Farrier ended her Mid-Prairie career with a 105-31 overall record.
