The Sigourney Savages put together a solid boys’ basketball season, and four players who led the way have been rewarded for their efforts with all-conference selections by the South Iowa Cedar League.
That includes senior Isaac Bruns, who receives unanimous first-team honors after leading Sigourney in scoring and averaging over 16-and-a-half points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
Bruns also shot nearly 73 percent at the free-throw line, a team high. John Berg makes the second team after putting up a double-double average of almost 15 points and 12.5 rebounds per contest for the Savages.
Fellow junior Solon Yates also gets a second-team nod after scoring nearly 12 points a game and leading the team in made three-pointers while shooting nearly 33% from beyond the arc. Honorable mentions go to sophomore Ike Molyneux and junior Brayden Wood, who helped Sigourney win 10 conference games and go 16-7 overall.
