The Hillcrest Academy Raven girls basketball team had their best record in a decade, and the increased performance in the win column was keyed by clutch stats.
The Ravens were 10th in Class 1A with 405 team free throw attempts this season. Individually, senior Malia Yoder was fourth in the state with 175 free throw attempts and her 89 makes at the line were 10th most. Junior Claire Withrow was dangerous from deep, connecting on 67 threes this season, sixth most in 1A.
Hillcrest ended the year with an 11-12 overall record, their most wins since 2013-14.
