
Iowa’s legislative session is wrapping up its eighth week and is approaching procedural deadlines. March 7th, this Friday, is the final date for bills and joint resolutions to be reported out of committees in both the Senate and House.
The week of March 17th through the 21st is for the Senate to only consider Senate bills, joint resolutions and unfinished business, and the same for the House chamber.
April 4th, the Friday of the 12th week of the legislative session, is the final date for Senate bills and joint resolutions to be reported out of House committees, and vice versa out of Senate committees.
May 2nd is the 110th calendar day of the session and per diem expenses end for legislators.
