The Winfield-Mount Union Wolves were led by stars both new and old in girls’ basketball this winter, and they walk away with four all-conference honorees after another season in the North division of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.

That includes one of their new faces, as Kynlee Buffington claims first-team status in her freshman season. Buffington averaged team highs of nearly 13-and-a-half points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots in her first season at WMU.

Junior Madisen Kellogg receives a second-team nod for Winfield-Mount Union after putting up almost 12 points and 6.5 rebounds a game and claims a second straight all-conference selection.

Honorable mentions go to senior Josie Nelson and sophomore Suttyn Schlee, who helped the Wolves win four of their final six games on their way to an overall record of 6-17.
