Local artists’ work will be put on display for the annual Fiber Arts February quilt walk held in Washington this week. This free event features stops at the United Presbyterian Church, Art Domestique and the Washington Public Library. On Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. people are invited to check out the fiber art. Librarian LeAnn Kunz shares what participants should do to prepare for the walk, “We encourage everyone to get a ticket ahead of time, it’s free of course, but the ticket will allow you to get it punched at each location and to possibly be in the running for a free quilt. We have had a quilt donated again this year, a beautiful, very colorful spring-looking quilt, and it will be given away at the end. From all of the tickets that are turned in from people that have gone on the quilt walk.” The walk will continue on Friday from 10 a.m to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
