
Two men involved in a hayrack crash in Keokuk County have pleaded not guilty for the charges associated with the incident.
According to court records, Daniel Brubaker and David Heady were each charged with three counts of child endangerment causing serious injury class C felonies, and 10 counts of child endangerment causing bodily injury, class D felonies. According to the court documents, in October of 2023 Brubaker was driving a vehicle with a “goose neck” trailer carrying middle school-aged students and it is alleged that “Brubaker operated the trailer in a negligent manner, causing the truck and trailer to go into a ditch, thus throwing the middle-school-aged riders throughout the road.”
Their trial date is set for July 15th in Keokuk County.
