The Washington City Council met on Tuesday. Mayor Millie Youngquist introduced the new City Administrator Joe Gaa. “For the first item of business I would like to welcome our new City Administrator. His name is Joe Gaa, and I hope that at some point, in the next few days that you will feel free to come and introduce yourself to him, and welcome him to Washington.” Gaa began with the City on Monday, and is taking over the role that Deanna McCusker began in January of 2022 and left on March 25th of this year. Gaa was previously the City Administrator in Marshalltown, and prior to that he was administrator in Aberdeen South Dakota for three years.
