The Washington Demon girls’ golf team puts it all on the line today when they play in the Class 3A Region 4 tournament at Saddleback Ridge Golf Course in Solon. Washington will be looking to keep an impressive streak alive, as the Demons have reached the state tournament every season since 2015.

Maci Williams will be one of the players looking to lead Washington back to state. The senior has been the Demons’ lowest-scoring player this season and has put up an average 18-hole score of 95 strokes, including posting as low a round as 91.

Junior Lauren Hinrichsen has been a solid addition for Washington, averaging the second-lowest 18-hole score on the team and going as low as 98 in her first season. Freshman Lucy Sands, sophomore Presley Hora and seniors Natalie Prochaska and Reagan Stouder have also been key players for the Demons in their first varsity seasons.

Washington will be playing at Solon for a second time this season, finishing seventh as a team when they played in the Lady Spartan Invitational on April 23rd. The Demons tee off at Saddleback Ridge starting this morning at 9.
