KCII News spoke with US Senator Chuck Grassley about his recent visit to Mt Pleasant High School on Friday, April 26th; he shared details of his visit, “Well, I go to about ten to twelve high schools a year. And I do that for the simple reason that when I have an open town meeting, you never have young people come to your town meetings. And in a very general way, I get questions that probably mom and dad would ask. But also get some questions that only young people would ask, like, what do I think about recreational marijuana is just one example. Or I get questions about how do you get into politics, when did you decide that you were going to run for the Senate, things of that nature.” This served as his Henry County visit during his 99 Iowa County tour.
