Today, Midwest Contractors, Inc., from Cedar Falls, will begin patching various locations on G36 (220th St) between IA Hwy 1 & US 218. While the contractor is working on this project during daytime hours, the road will be reduced to one lane in locations, with traffic being controlled by flaggers and pilot cars to help direct traffic through the project area. This lane reduction is necessary in order to provide room for the contractor to remove the sections of pavement that are to be replaced. While traveling through the project work area, the public is encouraged to use extra caution as the contractor’s employees and equipment will be working near the traveled way. Midwest Contractors, Inc. intends to have multiple crews along G36 in order to complete as many patches as quickly as possible. They anticipate this project will be completed in two to three days, depending on weather and other circumstances.
