The Washington Demons scored another boys’ golf victory yesterday at the Mohawk Invitational at the Preserve Golf Club on Rathburn Lake in Moravia. A team score of 298 strokes was two less than second-place Oskaloosa and six better than third-place Knoxville.

Senior Roman Roth led the Demons by shooting a one-under-par 71 and was tied for second on the individual leaderboard, a round that included four birdies and four bogeys.

Rajan Roth was tied for fourth overall for Washington with an even-par 72, while fellow sophomore Drew Conrad’s two-over 74 was tied for sixth. Teague Mayer had a nine-over 81 for the Demons, while fellow senior Luke Beenblossom was one stroke behind him.

Washington wins the seventh out of eight events that they have played in this season. Next up for the Demons is the annual Washington Invitational, which they will host Monday at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside.
