The big day is here for the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team, as they welcome eight other schools to Kalona for the annual 18-hole Golden Hawk Invitational. Weather has made major changes to the Mid-Prairie schedule, including bumping this event from Thursday to Friday. In their last action April 10th, the Hawks were fourth of nine teams at Williamsburg with an overall score of 370 for 18, led by matching 90s from Madi Davidson and Gabi Robertson. This season, Mid-Prairie has a nine-hole team average of 199 and a 189 low. Individually, Robertson’s 46 per nine average leads the way, followed by Davidson also under 50 at 48. Other averages this season include Addison English 52, Elliot Debler 53, Olivia Swartzentruber 57 and Madison Witthoft 58.

Mid-Prairie will be joined today by Durant, Fairfield, Keokuk, Iowa City Regina, West Branch, West Liberty, Williamsburg and Wilton. Action starts at 11a.m. and continues all afternoon and evening at the Kalona Golf Course.
