WACO students began the month of April with Spring Term, the school’s week-long project-based learning experience.

During the week of April 1, the Warriors ditched the traditional lesson plans for unique experiences that varied by grade level. Seventh through eighth-graders attended School of the Wild, in which students learn by participating in outdoor activities and hands-on challenges. Ninth and tenth-grade students, meanwhile, engaged in learning activities that ranged from cooking to art. Juniors and seniors spend Spring Term by interning at a variety of businesses in southeast Iowa, including Wayland, Washington, Mt. Pleasant, Burlington, and Iowa City.

This was the seventh year that WACO has held the event.
