A boil order that went into effect for Columbus Junction on Monday has been lifted.

The boil order began after a controller at the water tower froze, however the City has reported that its water samples came back absent for bacteria. The boil order has been lifted for Columbus Junction only.

Columbus City is still under the boil order as it awaits test results on its water samples. Columbus City residents should continue to boil their water for at least 1 minute if it is to be used for drinking, brushing teeth, or preparing food.

KCII will have more information as it becomes official.
