A pair of area girls wrestling teams make the trip to Williamsburg Monday for the Raider Invitational. The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks will compete at the ‘Burg tonight. They were in action over the weekend at the BGM dual tournament. The Hawks split four duals Saturday, posting wins over Colfax-Mingo and Nevada and falling to Marshalltown and Gilbert. The Hawks have a trio of athletes with double figure wins, led by Ellie Brenneman’s 12, 11 for Ellie Callahan and 10 for Ashlee Farrier.

The WACO Warriors will also be at Williamsburg tonight. They were at Wapello’s Willard Howell Invitational Saturday where they finished 13th in the 21 team field with 35 points. Rylee Rice had the top finish taking third place. On the season, Rice is the wins leader with 11.

These two teams will be joined tonight by Benton, Center Point-Urbana, Centerville, Central DeWitt, Clear Creek Amana, Colfax-Mingo, East Buchanan, English Valleys, Fort Madison, Grinnell, Independence, Iowa City Liberty, Iowa Valley, Linn-Mar, Marion, Midland, Mount Pleasant, Muscatine, Ottumwa, Cedar Rapids Prairie, Solon, South Tama, Vinton-Shellsburg, Wapello, West Delaware and the home Raiders.

Action starts at 4p.m. and continues into the evening at Williamsburg High School.
